The Odyssey Online
Writer
I wrote articles for the University of Kentucky chapter of The Odyssey Online from January 2020 to August 2020. My articles covered a variety of topics including pop culture, black lives matter, origins of holidays, television and film reviews, and more. The experience taught me a lot about myself as a writer and I hope that you find some joy in these articles.
University of Kentucky's Bowman's Friends Podcast
Co-Host
During the Spring 2021 semester, I was a co-host on the first student-led podcast at the University of Kentucky, Bowman's Friends. I gained a large amount of start-up experience through this opportunity as I helped edit, produce, and curate the social media pages for the podcast. My former co-hosts and I even had the opportunity to sit down and interview the University of Kentucky President, Dr. Eli Capilouto. To learn more click the picture to the right.

Indiana Under Lockdown is a short film project I produced to document my family's experiences during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic. This piece was created for my film creative writing class.
Goodwill Indy Blog
Writer & Marketing Intern
During the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to serve as the Jack Dustman Intern at Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana. As the Jack Dustman Intern, I worked alongside the marketing department to write and tell stories of employees, students, and Hoosiers tied to Goodwill.
Television Academy Foundation
Children's Programming and Development intern
After graduating from the University of Kentucky, I spent the Summer of 2021 working as an intern for the Television Academy Foundation. This opportunity allowed me to work under CloudCo Entertainment as a Children's Programming Development intern. During my internship with CloudCo, I worked on pitch bibles, read early drafts of scripts, and sat in on voice-recording sessions for their children's television series - such as Carebears and Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese, and so much more.
NewsChannel 5 Nashville
Assignment Editor
I spent two years at NewsChannel 5 Nashville as an Assignment Editor in the newsroom. Some of my day-to-day tasks included speaking with law enforcement to confirm information, reaching out to organizations and school districts for event coverage, helping reporters and photographers move from place to place based on each day's news, and assisting the web department by writing articles for the NewsChannel5 website, etc.

I also supervised summer interns in 2023 through this role and frequently assisted with running the teleprompter during the 9:00 a.m. newscast.
Metro Parks Nashville
Public Information Representative
I currently serve as the Public Information Representative for Metro Parks Nashville in the Community Affairs division. I assist with daily public relations and social media management needs.

In my short time at Metro Parks, I have helped a variety of social media content. Including content for National Park and Recreation Month in July 2024. Here is a link to the Metro Parks Instagram page where some of that content is available.

I also obtained a Master PIO Certification from the LEIC at the University of Tennessee Institute for Public Service.
